Industrial Hygiene Investigations

Industrial hygiene investigation concentrate on recognition, evaluation and recommendations for controls of the identified conditions that may be associated with health related hazards. These may include evaluation of all chemical and physical aspects of a particular process that may affect the health of the personnel working in the area. The investigations may concentrate on the nature of the raw materials, by-products and finished goods; existence of engineering controls such as effective ventilation; noise and heat stress; ergonomic stress of the performed work; and the use of personal protective equipment, example: respirators.

After the initial investigation, comprehensive air monitoring is conducted to assess the presence and actual airborne concentration of the contaminants in question. The air monitoring is conducted using current collection and analytical methodologies as specific by NIOSH and AIHA and mandated under OSHA regulations.

The final written report consists of evaluation of the site investigation and all of the air monitoring data. Full set of recommendations is included to assure full protection of workers' health with the use of engineering and administrative available controls.

All of the work is conducted by our highly trained industrial hygienist under the supervision of staff certified industrial hygienist.
